VITO announced the start-up of the Flanders Cleantech Association on the 19th of April 2010 at i-SUP 2010, the international conference on sustainable production, as a free and open initiative to all cleantech stakeholders in Flanders (industry, federations, government, financial institutions, knowledge centres, etc.).

VITO is the Flemish Institute for Technological Research, one of the 4 Strategic Research Centres established by the Flemish government. VITO is an established European independant research and advisory organisation, develops sustainable technologies in the domains of energy, environment, materials and earth observatory. As an independant expertise centre, VITO acts on behalf of Flemish companies as well as regional, federal and international governments and contributes to the realisation of the Lissabon strategy by (among other) promoting the creation of an attractive innovation climate and offering innovative technological solutions. www.vito.be

Flanders Investment and Trade,  thé point of contact for Flemish companies for international business, will be the main partner for FCA with regards to international activities and relations.  www.flanderstrade.be
